South Florida group hittin the road

Brett Goetz serves as a recruiting mentor to several kids in South Florida and he gave all the details of a big road trip that he has planned for several top recruits.

Brett Goetz calls it the South Florida Express. Many of the top players in the area play for his traveling 7-on-7 team in the spring and Goetz additionally serves as a recruiting mentor to those same kids.

To help give many of the area's top prospects an opportunity to see various college programs, Goetz is renting a van and taking several of them on a college tour road trip. He gave us all the details.

"I'm taking Frankie Telfort, Jaamal Berry, Vlad Emilien, Sterling Griffin, Darryl Williams, maybe James Green, Terrance Gourdine, Brent Singleton, and Stedman Bailey and we're going to visit six schools starting next week," Goetz said. "We're calling it the South Florida Express Road Trip."

Goetz has the dates of when he plans on being at each school.

"We're leaving on the 16th and our first stop will be at the University of Florida," he said. "We'll leave from Gainesville and head up to South Carolina where we'll visit South Carolina and Clemson on the 17th. We'll leave there and then visit Tennessee on the 18th. Then we'll visit Alabama on the 19th. Then we'll finish up by visiting Florida State on the 20th. After that, we'll head home and be finished with it."

Goetz believes it'll be a good opportunity for those players to see various schools.

"It's all about the kids and hopefully they'll get a lot out of it," he said. "They can see different places, have any questions they might have answered, and things like that. Hopefully it'll educate all of them on the different schools."

Stay tuned to, as we'll have a complete report on each day of the trip.
