Woodson Says Roll Tide

The Crimson Tide of Alabama continued their impressive late July roll yesterday when one of the top players from across the Alabama/Mississippi state line made his college decision.

"I committed to Alabama, I did it yesterday," said Rod. "I talked to Coach Smart and Coach Davis. They were really happy I committed."

Woodson chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Auburn, Memphis, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

For Woodson the chance to play for a head coach with a back ground of producing great defensive backs like Nick Saban was too much to pass on.

"I just like how they play defense over there," said Rod. "They have a great school and good dorms and all of that. I have been over there three or four times and I just like it over there."

Rod reports that his family and his high school coaching staff support his decision 100%.

"My family just wants me to happy, so they are happy about it," said Woodson. "Coach Samsel said he was real proud of me, but I know he would be proud of me no matter where I committed."
