"I'm not too keen on the early decision thing," Hall said. "I want to take a few visits for sure, but I won't be waiting until signing day.
"I'm still looking at a lot of schools and haven't solidified anything yet," he said. "Hopefully, I'll have my five set within the next month."
Hall hasn't set up any official visits yet, but says he'd definitely like to visit USC and Oregon. "I really want to take a trip to USC," he said. "I want to see what the campus life is like during the season and get a better feel for everything."
He'd like to visit USC and they still lead slightly. "I'm looking forward to talking to the coaches once the dead period is over and hopefully set up a visit," Hall said.
"I love the offense at Oregon," said Hall, who has an offer from the Ducks. "They pass the ball a lot and have a great team every year. They are always one of the best programs in the Pac-10 and the coaches are great.
"The coaches have been at Oregon for a long time and have a lot of experience," Hall said.
"I really like the Pac-10 and would love to play close to home, but I'm still looking at the Big 12 and some schools out east," he said. "I like the Big 12. It's a good conference and they always send a bunch of teams to bowl games.
"I've been hearing from Ohio State and Michigan State a bit and hope to talk to the coaches a bit more during the season," Hall said.
"I'm also hearing from Notre Dame and love the tradition there," he said. "I've talked to them on a few occasions and would like to take an official visit there too."
Neither the Buckeyes, Spartans nor the Irish have offered Hall.
During the summer Hall attended camps at USC and Arizona.
"I have a good relationship with all the coaches at Arizona," he said. "The people there are great and I like how it's one big family there. They really stress education first and are good guys.
"Hopefully Arizona will turn the corner this season," Hall said. "I see them doing well and I think the coaches are doing a good job and will be there for a while."
Hall's first game is on August 28 against Saguaro High School from Tucson, Ariz.
He reports a 2.7 core GPA and 19 ACT, which he plans on retaking in the fall.
