Does Prior's Top Four Include Iowa State?

Henderson (TX) High School's Daniel Prior is the 36th ranked strongside linebacker in the country and according to him will likely be making his decision during the fall season.

"I plan on taking my official visits and then making my final decision," said Prior. "I'm real excited to take them because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Prior has offers from two of his four favorites. "My top four right now in no particular order are SMU, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and TCU but out of those four I only have offers from SMU and Iowa State," he said. "I think in time I will be getting one from TCU because I have camped there and talked with (TCU Head) Coach Patterson."

Prior says he still continues to be in consistent contact with Iowa State. "I talk with Coach McFarland mostly and he checks in with me a lot," he said. "He just reiterates that they want me and just checks in to see how I'm doing."

Prior, who has already enjoyed one unofficial visit to Ames this summer, feels he will likely be returning. "I plan on taking an official there and also likely taking officials to SMU and TCU."

Daniel is fully qualified academically and at the moment is excited for next week. "We've already started and practice is going good but we've had a lot of rain so we've been practicing in the gym some," said Prior. "We scrimmage this Friday and then next week we kick-off Thursday which is the first game to kick-off in Texas which is pretty exciting."
