Tyler Patmon, two-star cornerback from Cedar Park-Vista Ridge, Texas, committed to Kansas in the summer. His high school coach, Bill Wilder, gives us an overview of the type of player the Jayhawks landed.

Tyler Patmon, Strengths:
Wilder: "Competiveness, strength, speed, physicality, big play ability."

Needs Improving:
Wilder: "Developing a hitter's mentality, good tackler, needs to look for the hits when available."

Current Size, Speed:
Wilder: "5-11, 170; 4.5--has allowed him to run down (players)."

Weight Room:
Wilder: "Bench 255, Squat 370, Power Clean 255."

Leadership:
Wilder: "Great leader, works hard, extra vocal when needed, high energy, has the intangibles."

Overall:
Wilder: "Excellent football player and person. Keeps getting better."

Stats (junior season):
Wilder: "45 tackles, one fumble caused, one fumble recovery, 10 pass break-ups, one interception, and one touchdown."
