But that isn't stopping the 6-5, 290-pound tackle from thinking about recruiting, it's just not his current focus.
"Right now, the focus is on our team, and if we keep plugging away like we have, then we could have a really good season," said Danser.
Currently, two Pac-10 schools have scholarship offers out to Danser -- Arizona and Washington -- and Harvard has also offered him. Meanwhile, three more schools are keeping in close contact with Danser.
"UCLA has called me a couple of times, of course Cal is still talking with me and Colorado has been sending a lot of stuff," said Danser. "UCLA asked for some of my film and I worked with Coach (Bob) Palcic when I was at UCLA's camp (during the summer). I went to the Cal game against Michigan State and they're close to home. Colorado has really been interested lately."
While no school has emerged as a leader, Arizona is the school recruiting Danser the hardest. "Arizona probably talks with me the most and they're telling me how much they are interested in me and would like me to come down," said Danser. "But those schools are my top five."
"I want to be able to take some of my visits, all five of them I hope, but if we keep playing, our season may not end until December," said Danser. "So I might not get to take some visits until after."
In the meantime, the schools that have offered, Washington and Arizona, have told Danser they'd like to set up a visit. "I know I'll be visiting those two, but I need to just set up the weekend it will be," said Danser. "I'd like to also visit UCLA, Cal and Colorado."
Danser camped at Cal, Stanford and UCLA, and was an all-combine selection at the Los Angeles UnderArmour/Scout.com Combine during the summer.
That experience during the off-season has given him a leg up this fall, where the Bells have rolled to an impressive 2-0 start, including an impressive 34-7 rout of previously #5-Stockton St. Mary's.
"We're really playing well and firing on all cylinders," said Danser.
Academically, Danser has a 3.6 GPA, and scored both a 1600 on the SAT and a 26 on the ACT. He's planning to take the SAT again.
