Welcome Back David

Ayala standout takes another look at the University of New Mexico.

We first met David Quiroga this summer as he attended the University of New Mexico's football camp. David was impressive while here during the camp as he played through a serious bout of cramps while displaying his play making ability.

We checked up on David's 2008-09 campaign for Chino Hills Ayala HS and as you see some strong numbers from this WR/RB… To date David has rushed the ball 55 times 398 yards for a nice 7.24 yards per carry… Toss in 6 touchdowns on the ground… I did mention that Quiroga is also a wide out? Quiroga to date has 18 catches for 279 yards and another 3 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Quiroga has 35 tackles and an INT for the year. Quiroga also has a 28.57 yard average on kick returns. Most definitely an all purpose sort of player that has received some attention.

Quiroga reaches for the end zone

As we know he University of New Mexico has been hitting California pretty hard when it comes to recruiting and this weekend is no different a TheRedMenace.com has learned that David Quiroga and his family will be in Albuquerque to watch the Lobos play the Utah Utes.

Quiroga holds on for the tough catch!
