Mississippi TE Up To Five Offers

Jacoby Bell can play a number of different positions. Most schools are looking at him on the offensive side of the ball and things are starting to pick up in the recruiting area for the talented Mississippi prospect after several outstanding performances on the grid iron.

"We're 10-0," stated Jacoby Bell. "We'll host the first round of the playoffs."

D'Iberville's success is connected to Bell's production on the field.

"I play MLB on defense and I have 92 tackles. On offense I play WR and TE. I have 446 yards receiving with 8 TDs."

This type of versatility has not gone unnoticed by college coaches.

"I have offers from Alcorn, Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama and Ole Miss. Those are all written offers."

How does the Scout.com #44 TE feel about each of those schools?

Alcorn State - "They have a new coach and they like to spread the ball around. I know that I would be a big part of their offense."

Southern Miss - "They told me that their TE caught most of their balls. They want to use me now and they are recruiting me the hardest right now. I have an official visit set up for January 16th right now."

Mississippi State - "I haven't heard from them in a long time but they were one of the first schools to offer me."

Alabama - "They called me for the first time in a while last week. They are picking up interest again. They want me to visit soon. I think I'll take an unofficial for their next home game."

Ole Miss - "They have great facilities. They like to throw the ball and they are losing several TE next year. Coach Dickerson recruits me. He's really cool and down to earth."

Are any other schools close to offering the talented Mississippi athlete?

"I think Oregon, Auburn and Marshall are all close to offering."

What position is Bell being recruited to play at the next level?

"Most schools ask me what I want to play. I prefer WR but I like TE too."

Despite wanting to play WR at the next level, Bell feels he excels at the MLB position.

"We really don't throw that much at my school. I feel more active on defense and I like being physical."

Bell is in no need to rush a decision and wants to learn as much about each school as he can.

"I'll probably decide around signing day."
