Moses Considering Official Visit

With North Carolina pledge and friend Bryn Renner in his ear this entire week, Morgan Moses has all but been talked into taking an official visit to UNC in January.

"He's real cool, we're thinking about taking our official visit together," Moses said. "I'll probably [take an official visit to UNC]."

After Moses finishes up with the all-star games he's been selected to, he will focus more on scheduling official visits. In addition to playing with Renner in the Hawaii All-Star Football Classic this Friday night, Moses will represent the East in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 3.

Moses, a 6-foot-7, 347-pound offensive tackle from Richmond (Va.) Meadowbrook, has taken one official visit – a late September trip to West Virginia.

"It was good," Moses said of his WVU official visit. "I got to see all the facilities and meet all the coaches."

Moses, who has collected roughly 40 scholarship offers including one from UNC, has yet to establish a list of favorite schools.

"I'm starting to [narrow it down] now, but I haven't cut down schools yet, though," Moses said.

Early playing time is very important for Moses. He's also looking for a "winning team."

Moses affirms that UNC is definitely in contention.

"I'm still trying to learn more about them," Moses said.

Moses says UNC, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech are recruiting him the hardest.

Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Moses says he is on track to qualify.

Approximately two months ago, UNC began to recruit Moses. In early October, Sam Pittman, UNC's offensive line coach, dropped by Meadowbrook for the first time.

"He said he was sorry for coming in so late," Moses said. "And he just wanted to pick it up."

After handing Moses a scholarship, one of the first things Pittman did to "pick it up" was invite Moses to UNC for the Notre Dame game.

Moses accepted and unofficially visited UNC that Saturday.

"I didn't really get to visit a lot of things, because I got there so late," Moses said. "But it was real good."
