QB- Seth Mejias-Brean- Dual-threat QB passed for 2,131 yards and 17 TDs and rushed for another 620 and 13 scores.


Honorable Mention- Spencer Stone-Chaparral, Clay Thorenson- Thunderbird, Mike Massey (JR)- Millennium


RB- Jamal Miles- Peoria- Capped a great career with 2,168 yards rushing and 29 TDs. Committed to Arizona State.

RB- Mike Brown- Cactus- Everyone knew Brown was going to carry the rock and he still rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 25 TDs rushing.


Honorable Mention- Dwayne Garrett (JR)- Chaparral, Giancarlo Dale- Shadow Mountain, Brent Michaels- Lake Havasu


WR- Danny Trittle (JR)r- Cactus Shadows- Had a 4A1 leading 71 catches for 1,115 yards and 9 TDs.

WR- Alic Dale- Apollo- Quietly had 39 grabs for 826 yards and 9 scores.


Honorable Mention- James Castillo- Millennium, Demetrius Wilson- Millennium, Jeremy Dang- Peoria


TE- Max Smith- Saguaro- A throwback TE that can do it all, run block and catch when asked. Nice pick up for ASU.


Honorable Mention- Tyler Williams- Chaparral


OL- Taylor Lewan- Chaparral- Had such a great season, I considered him for player of the year honors. Michigan commit.

OL- Kody Koebensky- Saguaro- Was able to play all positions along the line for Saguaro except center. Great player that helped pave the way for the state's most explosive run game. Committed to ASU.

OL- Doug Zismann- Shadow Mountain- Three-year starter and three-time all-region player. Zismann is as solid a football player as you will find and will be a good one for UNLV.

OL- Chris Putton- Cactus- Manhandled people to help Brown rush for 2,000 yards. Committed to UofA.

OL- Cy Maughmer (JR)- Apache Junction- Two-way player that will get plenty of college looks next year. 


Honorable Mention- Sebastian Sica- Saguaro


DL- Rusty Fernando- Apache Junction- Being named region defensive player of the year in the Desert Sky Region is a great accomplishment.

DL- Craig Roh- Chaparral- Lived up to the hype, recording over 100 tackles and 14.5 sacks. Committed to Michigan.

DL- Justin Jungblut- Saguaro- Made his first year starting count, recording 72 tackles and 11 sacks. Boise State commit.

DL- Zach Minter- Cactus- Region defensive player of the year in the West Valley, recorded 51 tackles and 15 sacks.


Honorable Mention- Corey Adams- Saguaro, Derrick Nsubuga- Chaparral


LB- Ben Bisgard- Saguaro- Statistically had a better year than any backer in 4A1. Had 156 tackles and 6 sacks.

LB- Phillip Pollack- Cactus-100+ tackles, 3 sacks and a pick for the Cobras.

LB- Dan Hawkins- Peoria- Squatty OLB had 90 tackles.


Honorable Mention- Tommie Russell- Chaparral


DB- Paul Porras- Saguaro- Very under-rated player had 71 tackles and 7 INTs as a corner. Committed to Rice.

DB- Jeremy Sawyer- Peoria- Corner had just 3 picks but showed the ability to make big hits.

DB- Kandon Thomas- Cactus- Pitched in 43 tackles and 7 INTs for the Cobras.

DB- David Abeyta- Cienega- Had 6 picks for a Cienega team that many underestimated.


Honorable Mention- Ebo Makinde- Paradise Valley, Josh Robbins (JR)- CDO, Marquis Flowers (JR)- Millennium


Return- Erik Brown- Saguaro- His return when he hurdled the defender sealed his spot here a long time ago.


All Purpose- Beau Burton- Saguaro- Never left the field for the Sabercats. Rushed for 2,400 yards and 30 TDs and had 60+ tackles on D. Utah commit.


Honorable Mention- Austin Swindle- Saguaro, Eric Urry- McClintock, Shane McCullen- Apache Junction


K- Danny Compton- Paradise Valley- Hit 8 FGs and was a great defender for PV as opponents always started with the ball at the 20 as a result of his touchbacks.


P- Danny Compton- Paradise Valley- Averaged almost 37 yards per punt.


4A1 Player of the Year- Beau Burton- Saguaro


4A1 Coach of the Year- John Sanders- Saguaro
