The marquee name is Matt Barkley, the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei product who's headed to USC. Barkley is the top-ranked quarterback in the country by Scout.com, and is also ranked as the #1-prospect nationally.
Barkley's senior year didn't go as well as his junior year, but he's chomping at the bit to get back out on the field and lead a talented Team Black.
Right behind him as the West's #2 quarterback is Richard Brehaut from Los Osos HS in Rancho Cucamonga. Brehaut is headed to UCLA and had an excellent senior season, both running the ball and throwing it.
Minnesota commit Moses Alipate is one of two Gopher commits on the roster and he'll join the two Golden State natives. Alipate stands 6-6, 220-pound and is one of the more physically imposing quarterbacks in the country.
Team White has a pair of Lone Star State studs and another from the Golden State.
Right behind him is Texas commit Garrett Gilbert, who has great footwork, good mechanics and is one of the most accurate passers around. Gilbert stands 6-4, 210, and was the Texas 4A Offensive Player of the Year.
Rounding out the Team White quarterbacks is Josh Nunes from Upland, a commit to Stanford. This game will serve as the rubber match for Brehaut and Nunes, who each defeated the other once this year. Nunes is a big kid with a good arm who decommitted from Tennessee to verbal to his dream school, Stanford.
