"It went pretty good," said Skinner. "We got a chance to see the campus and meet all of the coaches. We got to see how it all was."
Before leaving the Southern Miss football complex, Skinner had the chance to meet with Coach Larry Fedora and discuss his plans for the future.
"Coach Fedora told me that I was real important to them and that they need me," said Deontae. "He asked me about coming to their school. I told him that it was a nice place and that I was liking my visit."
While Coach Fedora scored some points with Deontae, he was unable to persuade him into becoming a Golden Eagle.
"I am still committed to Mississippi State," said Deontae. "Ole Miss wants me to come visit them, but I am not sure if I am going to go. I am going to decide this week if I am going. I am going to Mississippi State on the 30th."
Skinner reports that his plans have not changed, but the finality of the process is beginning to sink in.
"I am just thinking about everything, I want to be sure about everything," said Deontae. "Signing day is just right around the corner and I know it's all such a big decision."
