Recruiting coach/relationship: "Coach Louie Matsakis was my recruiter. He was cool and came down to watch me several times. He's easy to talk to and knows a lot about Kansas."

Expected to redshirt?: "I know it's different for everybody. I want to play early, but I don't think redshirting would be a problem. Getting used to the game is important. I've talked to the coaches, and they've said it won't take me long to get used to it."

Why Kansas?: "I just like the whole family atmosphere. When I visited, everyone was warm and welcoming. My dad loved it too. Coach Mangino is doing a great job. They are on the up-and-up every year and will have another good season next year."
