Chris Omigie, 6-4, 195 wide receiver from Arkington-Martin, Texas, made 55 receptions for 937 yards and nine touchdowns in 2008. He was named All-District and All-Area. Why Kansas?

Strengths: "I'm able to outrun and out jump most of the DBs in high school. I'm also good at catching the ball with my hands and not letting it get into my body." 285 bench, 355 squat.

Needs work: "I want to work on my routes and coming out of my breaks faster."

Recruiting coach/relationship: "Coach [Brandon] Blaney recruited me for Kansas. Everything has really great been with us. We clicked from the beginning."

Expected to redshirt?: "It's not that big of a deal, but I'd like to play early. If I redshirted, it would allow me time to work out, get bigger and be more prepared for the next level."

Why Kansas?: "When I went up there, I liked that Kansas is more established with their spread offense. I'm a receiver. I just want to catch the ball. I like that Coach Mangino is straightforward. If he needs you, he tells you."
