McGriff brings to the Jayhawks a field savvy beyond his years, excellent route running, and an innate ability to get open. Though he is not a barn burner, he beats defenders because he understands separation, timing, and spacing. He is a born leader and is a wide receiver that can blossom in the KU offense.
Kansas wanted to take three wide receivers in the class and McGriff is one that will meld well with the other two; D.J. Beshears - small water bug type that can fly and Chris Omigie - Big physical receiver that can also stretch the field.
Good luck Mr. McGriff.
