Fields Adds Alabama and Tennessee

The University of Georgia quietly snuck into Dalton High School and offered Jalen Fields before anyone else, but a couple other SEC schools joined the race.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Jalen Fields was not a hot name, but recently he was named as one of the top 12 juniors in Georgia and he has since picked up three big time scholarship offers.

The University of Georgia offered first and Fields has interest in the home-state school.

Shortly after UGA made him a target, a Georgia rival did the same.

"Tennessee faxed the scholarship offer to me," said Dalton Head Coach Adam Winegarner. "They are the second school to offer Jalen."

Then on Saturday, another SEC program made the 6-foot-5, 240 pound end a priority.

Winegarner said Alabama offered his prize recruit.

Attention is coming in from schools like Auburn, Florida State, Florida, and many more.

Fields' offer list only has three schools on it now, but expect that to increase in the near future.

He says he is open at this time, but Fields said he did grow up follwing the Georgia Bulldogs very closely.

Stay tuned to for the latest on this emerging star.
