E.J. Scott is the type of athlete any college program would love to have. With his blend of speed, quickness, and agility, Scott is very versatile player that can play both sides of the ball.
Scott has had a very busy spring thus far and it doesn't look like he will be slowing down anytime soon. "This spring I have been working out with the track team," said Scott. "I have also been to junior days at Virginia and Maryland. I am also going to Rutgers and Virginia for their spring games. I also plan to visit Wake this spring."
After a stellar junior season, and good showings at various camps and combines, Scott has earned offers from Rutgers, ECU, Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa, and most recently Wake Forest.
"I was really excited about the Wake offer. I have always liked the school ever since I visited there when I was a sophomore. Wake has been recruiting me for a long time. It is a great school with high academics, a great football program, and a nice campus. The coaches have always been real nice to me as well."
Scott also stated that he is good friends with future Demon Deacon Mike Campanaro. "I have know Mike for a long time. We played Pop Warner ball together. I am actually coming down to visit Wake with him this spring."
With his versatility, Wake has officially offered Scott as an athlete. "Wake just wants me to come in as an athlete. I could play slot receiver or defensive back. Wherever they need me to play. I really don't have a preference. I'll play wherever the team needs me."
Scott made it clear he wants to make a college decision this summer before his senior season. He also stated Wake has offered his teammate Louis Young and even though they are great friends, he is going to do what's best for him when it comes to choosing a college.
