Dudchock is one of Alabama's top tight ends for 2010 and he's already picked up early offers from Auburn, Stanford, UAB, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt.
Former LSU tight ends coach Josh Henson started recruiting Dudchock for the Tigers and he made him realize early on that LSU was a school that could utilize his talents.
"LSU is a school that uses the tight end a good bit, so that is big for me," Dudchock said. "I watched Richard [Dickson] a lot over the last couple years, and I had watched Keith Zinger before him. LSU always has a good balance of pass catching and blocking tight ends, and I feel like I can fit into that conversation.
"LSU is definitely a school that I want to learn more about. I am keeping everything open, so I am not going to commit early and have any regrets. I am going to evaluate things a lot more, and maybe even decide, this summer. I am going to evaluate the things I see at camps and find out where it takes me. I am just moving slow and letting it play out."
While a visit is in the works, the drive will be the Birmingham native's second trip to Baton Rouge.
"I came down for the game against Alabama last year, and it was amazing," Dudchock said. "It was so action packed that I never sat down. The crowd went absolutely crazy when Ricky Jean [Francois] blocked the kick, so that was fun. I was definitely glad I got down and saw it."
