Chippewas Offer Brother Rice Wideout
Birmingham Brother Rice (Mich.) wide receiver Kevonte Martin received his first scholarship offer yesterday.

"I just got back from Central Michigan and they offered me a full ride," he reported.

The 6'1, 188-lb Martin caught 34 passes for 610 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior, also returned two punts for touchdowns and averaged 19 yards a return. He also has interest coming in from Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Indiana and others.

Ohio Tight End Has First Offer
Kirtland (Ohio) tight end Anthony Ritossa received his first scholarship offer from Akron this week. The 6'5, 220-lber caught 23 passes for 491 yards and 10 touchdowns last year. He is also receiving serious interest from Texas.

Thomas Scores Big Ten Offer
Orchard Lake St. Mary's safety/linebacker Earnest Thomas reported to Scout.com that he has received his 10th offer.

"Penn State just offered me!" he reported.

The 6'2, 205-lb Thomas has already visited the Nittany Lions, who also recently offered his teammate Robert Bolden. Thomas also has other offers from Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Bowling Green, Louisville, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Toledo.

Hicks Keeps Reelin' Them In
Detroit Renaissance cornerback Mylan Hicks continues to add new offers to his list. Just this week, he scored three new ones and today, added a fourth.

"Wisconsin just called and told us the offer was on its way," said Renaissance assistant Antoine Edwards, "I know he has his three favorites right now (Michigan State, Michigan and Notre Dame), but I think he's going to look at Wisconsin too and give everyone a fair shake."

One More for Olaniyan
Warren Mott (Mich.) defensive end C.J. Olaniyan is one of the fastest rising players in the midwest. Last night, Olaniyan told Scout.com that Minnesota has become the latest to offer. The 6'5, 235-lber now has 12 offers, including ones from Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Virginia Tech and others.
