FL RB Hall puts Northern school in Final Four

Darion Hall has said in the past he didn't want to play in the cold, but has since changed his thermostat, listing the Wolverines among his favorites.

Last week, Lely (Fla.) HS running back Darion Hall received an offer from the team he grew up rooting for, Florida State. Although Hall has consistently listed the Seminoles among his list of favorites, don't go fitting him for a gold helmet just yet. Hall is still considering his other offers.

"I would say my top five are Miami, Florida State, Clemson, Michigan and…I'm not sure about five," Hall told GoBlueWolverine.

Lely runs a spread scheme "very similar" to that of the Wolverines, which is why, Hall said, he has them in his top five … er, four. That offensive game plan enabled Hall (5-11, 200, 4.5) to rush for 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior, averaging more than ten yards per carry.

The 6-0, 205-pound running back has received offers from all of the aforementioned schools as well as SMU, Vanderbilt, Kansas, West Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, Syracuse, Kansas, Wisconsin and Purdue.

Purdue is the only school to have extended scholarship offers to both Hall and his teammate, cornerback Jhony Faustin. This may put the Boilermakers into serious contention, as Hall told GBW that he'd "like to" play with Faustin at the next level.

Hall said he and Faustin will attend camps at Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia, and Georgia Tech on a weeklong tour of the south this summer.

He plans to commit to the school of his choice before the start of the high school season.
