Unofficial visits continuing for Ohio DE

The clock is ticking down for kids who are wanting to get their decision out of the way before their senior season starts. That's how it is for Ohio prep defensive end Marcus Rush. He's actually on his way right now doing unofficial visits, and we talked about where he's heading before he finally decides.

Sitting on around 15 offers right now it's all defensive end Marcus Rush can do just to keep up with recruiting. He's made a few visits already, and at least to this point two schools he's seen stand out. "Right now I'd say Michigan and Virginia," Rush said.

But that's what the rest of these unofficial visits for – to compare some schools he hasn't seen to those he has. "We are actually on our way to Chicago right now and we'll head to Wisconsin first and then Michigan State after that," he said.

After that he said it's a little up in the air. "I plan on visiting Boston College and maybe Virginia. But I have visited Virginia before," Rush said. "And if I have the time, which I don't know right now, I'd like to check out Nebraska.

"My goal was to check out every place that had what I was looking for, so I would like to check them out. It's just a matter of time."

The only cutoff date for that seems to be the beginning of Fall Camp for his prep-team, which will start the last week of July. If Nebraska can't fit in that schedule Marcus said that would probably mean they are out, because he isn't considering a team he hasn't seen firsthand. "Yeah, I guess that would be correct. I have to see a place myself before I can know if it has everything I am looking for," he said. "But I want to make my decision before my season starts."

Rush said that of the offers he has, they are for positions ranging from defensive end to linebacker to that a hybrid between the two.
