Burrows to UGA

6'3" 235 pound Defensive End Brandon Burrows has decided that he will play football next fall for the home-state Georgia Bulldogs. Scout sat down with the Marietta (GA) Walton standout as he broke the news.

"I have decided that I am going to play for the Georgia Bulldogs," Brandon Burrows said.

Why Georgia?

When I first went there for JR day, they offered, which really blew me away," he said. "Plus, they were the first SEC school to offer."

I felt really comfortable with my position coach, which is Coach Fabris, Coach Richt and Coach Searels (who recruits Cobb County)."

You had a Top 5, which included Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma and Clemson…with UGA and UF making the final two. What is the number one thing that pushed the Dawgs over the top?

"Comfortability," he said. "The Georgia coaches and players just really made me feel to home."

What position will you be playing?

"I am going as a Weakside Defensive End."

Now for the question that is on everyone's mind. How will your knee injury (Burrows tore his ACL during spring practice) affect you and your performance at UGA?

"It won't," he said. "I played my junior season following the same injury (to his other knee), and all of my 18 offers came as a result of that year."

So I feel confident that this injury will not affect my performance at all."
