C.J. Mosley Works Out at Auburn's Camp

Theodore High School star C.J. Mosley comments on his camp trip to Auburn.

Theodore, Ala.--C.J. Mosley is considered one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama for the 2010 signee class and he says that he thought he did "pretty well" at Auburn's one-day football camp on Saturday.

"I did good in my tests and in my one-on-one drills," he tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I learned some things in the position drills that will help me. The coach taught us a better way to get to the wide receiver in pass coverage."

Mosley notes that he came to Auburn looking forward to attending the camp and working out with a group of talented linebackers including Auburn commitments Jake Holland, Jessel Curry and Jawara White plus other good prospects at the position such as LaDarius Owens. "That was really the main reason I wanted to compete in the camp," he says. "There were a lot of the top linebackers there and I got see where I was at and I did pretty well."

The Class 6A All-State player says he isn't in any hurry to make a decision on his college choice. His group of favorites includes in-state programs Auburn and Alabama along with LSU and Stanford.

C.J. Mosley is rated a four star prospect.

Mosley is coming off a terrific junior season in which he was in on 176 tackles for Theodore High School. He says that his trip to Auburn on Saturday is his last football camp of the summer.

"Next month we will be ready to start practice for the season so I am trying to get focused on the team now," says the linebacker, who notes that he measured in at 6-2 1/2, 215 pounds at the Auburn camp.

"I want to at least maintain what I did last year and not have any kind of a downfall as a senior," Mosley says. "I am not looking to have more than 176 tackles, but I want to produce well enough to help my team get to the state championship."
