Florida WR talks about FSU camp

Sean Tapley is one of the best wide receiver prospects in the state of Florida this year and Scout caught up with the Jacksonville Raines standout after he took part in Florida State's showcase camp on Saturday.

Sean Tapley is committed to South Carolina but that hasn't stopped him from getting out to various camps and events this summer. On Saturday, he took part in FSU's showcase event.

"We did some 1-on-1's, some 7-on-7's, and things like that," Tapley said. "We didn't run the 40 though. It was fun. They didn't offer me though. They said they gotta talk it over with all the coaches and they'll get back to me and let me know."

Tapley, who has an offer from one of Florida's Big 3 (Miami), was asked for his thoughts on some other camp performers.

"I thought the best QB there was Clint Trickett," he said. "I really like the way he throws it. "At receiver, the one I really liked was Kenny Shaw. He was catching everything. I also liked Andre Davis, the junior."

How about on the defensive side of the ball?

"The corners were alright," he said. "Rashad (Knight) was there and I thought he was the best one."

Next up for Tapley will be trips to a few SEC programs.

"I'm going to Friday Night Lights on Friday and then I'm going up for an unofficial visit to South Carolina on the 1st," he said.

Tapley, who caught 29 passes for 494 yards and four scores last season, claims a 2.8 GPA in the classroom and hasn't reported a test score yet.
