Prospect: Gray Crow

Class: 2012
Location: Ocala, Florida
High School: Trinity Catholic
Position: Quarterback
Size: 6-3/220

Strengths: "My arm strength is definitely one, my ability to keep my eyes down field, and the way I read defenses."
Need to Work On: "I want to improve my speed, my elusiveness, and my timing. I want to get on better time with wide receivers."
2009 Camps: "I went to Florida from June 14-17, then Notre Dame from June 28-July 1, and then Florida invited me back to Friday Night Lights. I think I did great personally at Florida. I am pretty hard on myself, but I felt I did pretty good. The coaches there are guys that do anything to win and I like that about them. That was probably my favorite thing about Florida. I think I did well at Notre Dame too. A lot of older guys were there, so it was kind of intimidating. I got to meet the coaching staff and get to know them a little better. Ron Powlus is a great coach and I like him. So many great players have come through there and I thought it was great to be on the same field they played on."

Recruiting: "Notre Dame and Florida would be up there and the QB coach from Central Michigan is someone interest in me too."
Offers: "Notre Dame gave me a verbal offer at their camp. It felt great to get the offer and it felt like the hard work paid off."
Top Schools: "Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, USC, and Texas."

2008 Stats: "I threw for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns in Junior Varsity before they brought me up to Varsity late in the season."
2009 Goals: "One of my main goals is the be the starter at Trinity Catholic. I would like to lead my team to state and to win state. I would like to get to know all the guys there too since I just transferred in from Countryside (Clearwater, Fla.). I don't get too caught up in stats, I just go out there to win games."

Scout Notes: Crow played at Countryside in Clearwater in 2009, but has since transferred to Trinity Catholic. He has a big league arm and he wil put up big numbers over the next three season under Coach Brantley. Look for Crow to become one of the top QBs in the South and possibly the country in the coming years. He is so mature for his age, he has the tools that will atract coaches, and this is just the beginning for him.
