Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos defensive end Tony Washington, who has 13 offers, has set up four official visits.

"I'm going to UTEP on September 12th, Oregon on October 3rd, Arizona on October 24th and Oregon State on November 14th," said Washington.

As for the last visit?

"I'm visiting the four schools that are my top schools and I'm saving the last one for maybe a late comer," said Washington. "Vanderbilt, Northwestern and UCLA have been talking to me a lot in the past few months. They all said they'll be watching me this season."

Northwestern signed Los Osos teammate Arby Fields and UCLA signed Richard Brehaut, another Washington teammate.

"Both of them have been trying to persuade me to go to their schools," said Washington.

He's coming off a year in which he had 60 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, nine sacks, three forced fumble and two fumble recoveries for the Grizzlies, who advanced to the CIF-SS semifinals. This year, he'll play much more tight end as the Grizzlies try to maintain their success with Brehaut and Fields gone.

"We have a tough preseason all throughout our schedule, but our coach wants us to be prepared," said Washington.
