Wallace Up to Nine Official Offers

Sept. 1st was the first day junior prospects were allowed to receive official written scholarship offers. That morning, faxes and letters went out to some of the nations top prospects. One player that received his fair share of offers was Skyline (TX) HS MLB Anthony Wallace.

"Well, on Sept. 1st, I picked up Tennessee, Oklahoma, LSU, Miami, Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas A&M and Baylor and Minnesota offered today," said the 6-2/235 pound MLB, Anthony Wallace. "Notre Dame and TCU said that they are going to examine my transcripts and if they are good, they said that they are going to offer too."

As it stands, Wallace has plenty of options to choose from however, five schools standout; 2 have already offered.

"I like USC, Texas, LSU, OU and I am starting to like Penn State."

"I've like USC since I was little. They have always been my favorite team. Texas, LSU, and OU are close to home. I am familiar with the programs and I know a lot about those schools. And Penn State is "Linebacker U".

"I want to be in a good academic environment and I want to go to a school that can develop me on the field. That is what I will be looking for."

It seems like the prospects in the state of Texas commit early, however, Wallace doesn't have those plans.

"I don't think that I am going to commit anytime soon. I will probably know before my junior year starts but I want to wait and see how my season goes. I am going to try to get to some games and do some research before I make a decision.
