Martin-Manley Makes College Choice

Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice wide receiver Kevonte Martin-Manley made a commitment today, one that will allow him to play with a childhood friend.

Birmingham Brother Rice has a Saturday game this week and will have several others this season. That will prepare Kevonte Martin-Manley, as he now knows he where he will play on Saturdays in the future.

"I committed to Bowling Green today," he reported.

Martin-Manley had looks from several other schools, including Michigan State, Wisconsin and more, but liked what he saw from the Falcons.

"I chose Bowling Green because I have the best opportunity to play early there and they have good people up there."

Not only that, but they made the 6'0, 194-lb receiver feel like a priority.

"They really wanted me. Other schools were like, 'we're not sure', but they said 'we want you.'"

The Falcons have a very nice class going so far and it includes Auburn Hills Avondale (Mich.) outside linebacker D.J. Lynch, a friend of Martin-Manley's.

"I've been knowing him since preschool, so when I told him, he was like alright."

Martin-Manley caught 34 passes for 610 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior and also returned two punts for touchdowns and averaged 19 yards a return.
