Vanderbilt commitment has big night

Jared Morse, three-star defensive tackle from Oxford, Ala., was in the backfield all night Thursday when his team faced Huffman. Morse had a big performance and returned a fumble for a touchdown. He talked about the game and his commitment to Vanderbilt.

"It was a real good win for us tonight," said Jared Morse. "We came out blazing. It took a lot of pressure off our defense. We had fun out there and played like we needed to."

"The play where I scored was very exciting for me. Dimitri Orr tackled the quarterback, and the ball went up in the air. The ball fell into my grasps like a gift from the heavens. It was a really cool and exciting play."

Morse gave a commitment to Vanderbilt during the summer, and plans to take other official visits. He is solid to the Commodores, and just looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the recruiting process.

"I plan on going to three home games [Vanderbilt]," he said. "I have a couple of schools still talking to me. I will probably still take some visits. Every time I went to Vanderbilt it felt right. They treat me real well. Academics are the best in the SEC. They play in the SEC and have a great coaching staff."
