Florida safety ready for first visit

Isaac Dixon is a talented safety prospect from Pace High in Miami and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest on the recruiting front.

Isaac Dixon talked about the start of his senior season.

"We won the other night 20-8," Dixon said. "Our running back got hurt early in the game so I went in and finished the game with 127 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, I had seven tackles and two sacks. We're off this week and then have Coral Shores next."

Dixon, 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

"I just got done talking to Syracuse," he said. "They want me to come up for a visit the first or second weekend in December. Right now, my only one is to Oregon for the 19th of this month."

Syracuse and Oregon are just two of the schools still calling the talented safety.

"Those two are calling and so is Purdue, USF, and I also plan on taking a visit to Oklahoma State."

So does Dixon have a leader yet?

"I really can't say who leads right now because I still need to take my visits to see," he said. "I'll be looking at the academics, the facilities, and how much a family the team is."

Inside the classroom Dixon claims a 3.0 GPA and a 19 ACT score.
