Commitment Tracker: Cody Gibson

Cody Gibson, Scout.com three-star offensive tackle from Tallahassee-Lincoln, Fla., committed to South Carolina during the summer. He has yet to visit for a game, but keeping a close watch on their season. He spoke with Scout.com Thursday night during the Gamecocks' game against Ole Miss.

"The season is going good," said Cody Gibson. "We are 2-1 right now. "We play Richards this week. They are 3-0. I believe coach Graham is coming to the game."

"I feel like I have been doing really good this year. I feel like I have gotten faster at getting to the linebackers and to the second level."

Gibson has been impressed with his future team, and this was just before the big win over the Ole Miss Rebels.

"I have not been able to get up there for a game yet," he said. "Hopefully I will be able to get up there for one. I have been watching their games though. I like what they are doing a lot this year. They have been really impressive."

"I talked to the coaches last week. I spoke to coach Graham. He was just telling me that he can't wait to get down here to watch a game. We have a really good relationship. I feel comfortable with the coaches up there."

Schools have continued to express interest, but Gibson does not plan to take any other visits. He is solid with the commitment to South Carolina.

The Gamecocks went up 16-3 over Ole Miss in the third quarter as we were closing out our conversation.

"They have been really impressive," he said. "I am wanting them to get the 'W' and get in the top 25."
