Florida WR explains commitment

Isaiah Williams is a talented wide receiver prospect from Pace High in Miami and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest on the recruiting front.

Isaiah Williams decided to end the recruiting process last weekend by making his college commitment.

"I had committed to Purdue last Sunday," Williams said. "I went up there for a visit. We got there Friday, went to the practice, chilled with the players. Saturday we got a tour of the school and went to the game. Saturday night we chilled with the players. Sunday I met with the coaches and when I got home, I called them and committed because that's where I wanted to be."

Williams, 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, said while his commitment is solid he'll still listen to other visit offers.

"I don't have any set up right now but if it comes, it comes. Right now Purdue is number one. The other schools are just writing me but Purdue is the one doing all the talking."

The standout receiver talked about the start of his senior season.

"It's been going great. We're 2-1 right now. We got Chaminade this week. They say it's gonna be a big game. I have a few catches every game. Last week I had three touchdowns and 108 yards."

Inside the classroom Williams claims a 3.7 GPA.
