Gators add a pair

The University of Florida continues trying to make in-roads in Miami and they picked up commitments from two of the area's better prospects over the weekend.

Booker T. Washington High teammates Quinton Dunbar and Lynden Trail both confirmed to on Sunday that they have committed to the Gators.

Dunbar, 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, made a very early commitment to the hometown Hurricanes before backing off that a little while later. Several schools kept recruiting him and the Gators won out.

"I really like the coaches and the style of offense they run," he said. "They need receivers."

The standout receiver says he picked the Gators over Miami, Florida State, Tennessee, and Rutgers.

Dunbar, who finished his junior season with 39 catches for 705 yards and seven scores, claims a 3.1 GPA and a 15 ACT inside the classroom.

Trail, 6-foot-7 and 205 pounds, put his name on the recruiting map last season when he registered 22 sacks. He claims to have chosen the Gators over Miami, Florida State, USC, and Georgia. He claims a 3.2 GPA and an 1170 SAT score in the classroom.

Both players say they plan to take some official visits later in the recruiting process.
