Oregon Treats Washington Well

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos defensive end Tony Washington talks about his official visit to Oregon...

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos defensive end Tony Washington took his second official trip, after having previously visited UTEP, this weekend to Oregon.

"It was great," said Washington. "I really enjoyed the visit up to Oregon."

Washington got to know several players, but spent much of his time with a few SoCal natives.

"My hosts were Anthony Anderson and Terrell Turner," said Washington. "They were real cool."

Washington said the atmosphere around Eugene and the game-day setting at Autzen was peerless. Enough that he almost pulled the trigger. "I did get seriously tempted to commit," said Washington. "They really had me thinking a lot. A lot of the recruits were pressing me to commit more than anybody."

But Washington, who's choosing to take more official visits, said he chose not to verbal.

"I held off," said Washington. "I still plan to take my trips and compare what I liked and disliked about each school."

Washington will visit Arizona later this month and Oregon State next month before deciding on his future school.
