"It's really Nebraska, Arizona and Washington," Slavin said. "They're all even, but I still want to visit Nevada and see what it's like."
Slavin, ranked as the No. 92 wide receiver in the country by Scout.com, will be taking his first official visit on Oct. 23 to Arizona. "They've been recruiting me the most," he said about the Wildcats.
"They've been out to a couple of my games already and I talk to (linebackers) coach Tim Kish a lot," Slavin said. "He's always checking in on me and says that I just need to get over there and start catching balls for them. They really want me."
Following his trip to Tucson, Slavin will be heading east to Nebraska on Nov. 6. "I just want to see what they're all about," he said about the Huskers.
"They are a winning team and Nebraska throws the ball a lot more than people think," he said. "They say that I'd fit in well with their offense and that they'd get me the ball."
Slavin hasn't visited any of his favorites yet, but plans on visiting both Washington and Nevada before making a decision.
"Washington has really impressed me," he said. "They beat USC. That's it.
"I think coach Steve Sarkisian did a great job recruiting and putting together his staff. They have a great future."
"I want to go where there's good team energy," he said. "I'll also see who they have at quarterback because I want someone good throwing me the ball."
Eleanor Roosevelt High School is 4-1 with Slavin catching 17 receptions for 263 yards and three touchdowns. The Mustangs take on Norco High School on Friday, Oct. 16.
Slavin reports a 3.8 core GPA and a 1350 three-part SAT.
