Calhoun wants to vist Lincoln

Big Red Report caught up with Navasota (TX) Navasota High School offensive linemen Aleon Calhoun. Calhoun talks about his offers and if he's looking at taking any visits and who that might be.

Nebraska has landed three solid verbal commitments on the offensive line for the class of 2010. But, that has not scared off Navasota, (TX), Navasota High School offensive linemen Aleon Calhoun. Calhoun says that that actually attracts him to the Huskers even more.

"I consider myself one of the best linemen in the country," Calhoun said. "That just makes me want to play with the best. I just feel like I can play with the best so it doesn't matter who they got. I can compete."

When asked about how high Nebraska was on his list, he seemed to have to the Cornhuskers right in his sights.

"Oh ya, they are real high," he said. "I haven't been talking to them that much anymore. I would like to call them this week, and set up an official visit. I know there season is over for home games, but I want to get up there and see how they handle business. I want to take a look at the school. I plan on calling the coaches some time this week. and setting that up."

Calhoun, said that he doesn't have a leader in his list of scholarships that include Big XII schools such as, Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

"No, I don't have a top school," Calhoun said. "I would consider Nebraska at the top though."
