TE: We were kicking it

Clive Walford is a three-star tight end prospect who committed to Miami over the summer. The Glades Central standout took his official visit to Miami over the weekend and talked to Scout.com about it.

Clive Walford took his first official visit of the year this weekend when he went to Miami.

"It was great," Walford said. "We met the president of the school and that was cool. It was a fun weekend."

Walford, 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, talked about his favorite part about the weekend.

"I'd say it was kicking it with Randy Shannon and going out to dinner with him," he said. "I didn't know him like that and getting to know him was real cool. He's a good dude."

The standout tight end said he was hosted by another tight end currently on the team.

"Dedrick Epps, tight end number 18, was my host," he said. "He is really cool and he is my role model. It was me, Travis Benjamin, Randy Phillips, Steven Wesley, a lot of them. The players were real cool."

Walford spent time with new Miami commitments Brandon Linder and Jermaine Barton.

"They were having a real good time," he said. "We're gonna have a real good recruiting class at Miami this year."

There have been rumors going around about a possible visit to South Carolina being in the works. He talked about that.

"I haven't decided on anything else right now," he said. "Miami was my first and that's the only one I have for now."
