The 5-foot-7, 160-pound wide receiver says that he is also considering Rutgers and Florida and overall just wants to find a place that will use him the right way. "I'm looking for a place that obviously throws the ball a decent amount but also a school that can use a player like me in a variety of ways," said Sanders. "Many of them have told me that they would want to match me up against linebackers in order to create a mismatch."
Ace says that Iowa State has stayed consistent in their recruitment of him throughout the season. "I talk mostly with Coach (Shane) Burnham and we have a real good relationship," said Sanders. "Him and his dad (Wally) are real good people. My dad (Tracy) played for his dad when he was coaching at Florida State and he told me that Coach Burnham was a great guy also."
Sanders says that Coach (Shane) Burnham has been very clear on why they want him. "He told me that they love my explosiveness when the ball is in my hands," he said. "They feel that I'm a player that can do a lot of things in open space."
Ace caught 65 balls on the season for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns. He says that he might be meeting the Iowa State coaches in the near future but that he's definitely not ready to make any kind of decision. "Iowa State might be doing an in-home visit with me during the first week in January," said Sanders. "I just want to take all my visits and then I'll be waiting until signing day before I announce my decision."
