2010 Under Armour All-America Game Report

Wednesday December 30, 2009

James was working at left tackle with James Hurst on day one and he looked to be in very good condition.

He has trimmed up over the last couple of years, toned up his frame, and he looked to be in very good condition as he prepares to move to Knoxville.

During practice, he showed very good mobility and good ability in pass protection. He slides very well to the outside to give his quarterback a comfortable pocket.

Hurst got a few more reps than James at left tackle, so we will be able to evaluate him further on day two and three.

He still showed the need for more strength and he can improve his hand placement as well. He had a tendency to just lean on his guys on running plays instead of driving his guy off the ball.

His athleticism and frame stood out the most on day one.

Look for more on James on Thursday December 31.
