They are 5-Star DE Wayne Dorsey and 4-Star Damien Jackson.
We have learned that both players have graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC and are set to arrive at Ole Miss in January.
Dorsey, who hails from Baltimore (MD), was named an Honorable Mention All-American this year after an injury plagued season. He still managed to collect 30 solo tackles and 5 sacks in six games of action. His freshman season saw him collect 12 sacks.
Damien Jackson also battled through a high ankle sprain and missed several games and played several others with the nagging injury. The Pineville (LA) native collected 86 tackles and 8 interceptions during his stay at MS Gulf Coast CC.
"I am done at Hargrave," added the 6' 5", 265 pound Mobile native. "I was cleared by the (NCAA) Clearinghouse the Tuesday before Christmas, and I start classes at Ole Miss on the 19th of January."
Mike is relieved that the eligibility issues have now been resolved but will always remember his time spent at Hargrave.
"If feels pretty good, but I would not take anything back from my Hargrave experience. I made life long friends over there in Virginia, like Terrence Hackney. I have 64 brothers now instead of two. I have been building close relationships with those guys since I arrived at Hargrave. I will keep up with them for life.".
The 3 Star defensive tackle made the phone call to Coach Nutt recently to let him know that he was eligible.
"As soon as I heard from the clearinghouse that I was eligible, we called Coach Nutt. He was excited and told me to be ready to go in the spring. Coaches Nutt, Price, Markuson, and (Tyrone) Nix came out here to Hargrave for our combine a couple months back, and they were hoping I was going to be eligible to start practicing for the bowl game, but I was not cleared in time. They expect a lot out of me, and they think I can get some playing time next year if I work hard."
"I am about 75% sure I am going to Ole Miss," added Quardarias "Q" Mireles. "I just have to think about it. It is a hard decision and it makes it even harder because I am graduating early."
Mireles visited Arkansas the weekend after he took in his Ole Miss visit. Miami is coming in for a home visit on Wednesday, and he expects an offer to come his way. If the Hurricanes offer he will take in an official visit this weekend and make a final decision from there.
We will have his complete interview up in the near future.
"I am leaving for Mississippi Gulf Coast CC in a few dayus," stated the Miami resident. "I just decided to go ahead and get back in school and hopefully be out of there by next August so I can still have three years to play at Ole Miss."
Artice enrolled at North Carolina Tech this past Fall but the school came under NCAA scrutiny and Kellam left the prep school and has been back home at Miami.
"I am going back to Hargrave to figure it out," added the Chapel Hill (N.C.) resident. "I already sent in my application to Ole Miss, and if I am cleared, I am on my way. But I have to finish my first semester at Hargrave and take some exams on January 15th. If I do well enough, I will be at Ole Miss on the 19th. If not, I will be there in May."
Terrence became a hot commodity during his stay at Hargrave as he received late offers from the Georgia and Mississippi State Bulldogs.
"Both of their staffs came to our combine, and they started calling me after that. Both Georgia and MSU offered me, but then I committed to Ole Miss. MSU said they were going to keep coming after me, and they are supposed to be coming by the school, but I am 100% sure I am going to Ole Miss."
They are OC Evan Swindall, LB Mike Marry, DE Cameron Whigham, and Tig Barksdale.
They will resign with Ole Miss in February, excluding Tig Barkdale, who will not have to resign because he will count towards last year's class.
