Boone to visit Louisville

Kadron Boone thought about it all week and he has decided who he will visit this weekend. It is going to be Louisville and knowing Coach Strong played into the decision.

"It has been a crazy week," said Kadron Boone. "Mike Leach was fired while I was at the Under Amrour game last week, so I have had to think about a lot."

"I have talked to Texas Tech coaches and they understand that I want to take my visits, evaluate other schools now, and just see how it plays out."

As soon as schools received word that Boone was going to look around, a number of them jumped on him quickly.

Cincinnati, Georgia, Rutgers, South Florida, and Texas Tech all visited Boone at Trinity Catholic this week. Many others have called, but only one can get a visit this weekend and it is going to be Lousiville.

"It took me a while to figure out who it was going to be, but I am leaving for Louisville on Friday," he said. "I have known Coach [Charlie] Strong for a while, we have a good relationship, and I want to get up there to see what Louisville looks like."

This will be the first of four visits for Boone between now and signing day.

His official visit to Texas Tech has already taken place, so a number of schools now will be fighting for one of his final three.

"Miami, Floria, Georgia, LSU, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame are still coming after me pretty hard and I have to figure out which schools I will visit."

"It is going to be a week to week thing for me. I think I will know by next Tuesday or Wednesday who I will visit next weekend and then the same way the week after that."

The visits are needed for the 6-foot-1, 195 pound four-star out of Ocala (FL), but they do not mean he will not end up a Red Raider.

"I am still committed and they (Texas Tech coaches) understand why I am taking these visits. I am going to wait and see who the new coach is, what type of offense he plans to run, and then go from there."

"I need to see how I feel about some other schools in case things at Texas Tech are not the same with a new coach."

I just want to evaluate everything, take all of my visits, and make sure I am picking the right school on signing day."
