Texas Linebacker Has Tigers On Top

Houston area defender set to visit Missouri soon and puts Tigers on top

The Missouri Tigers have had great success with a certain Linebacker from Texas recently. Sean Weatherspoon is about to become a first round draft pick, and the talented LB's career has caught the attention of other potential defensive recruits.

One of those is League City (TX) Clear Springs OLB Donnie Baggs 6'2"205lbs. I spoke to Baggs recently and he brought up "Spoon" as a player he would like to have a college career similar to. Possibly at the University of Missouri just like him.

"I will be at Missouri's spring game on April 17th." said Baggs when updating me about his recruitment." I'm excited about the visit and getting to see things in person for myself."

Baggs, who is a good student and wants to study Political Science and Law in college, has done his homework where the Tigers are concerned.

" I have done a lot of research about Missouri. About their campus and the school. I learned about their great tradition and how they have done a very good job winning recently. I also know someone who went there and they told me what a great experience it was all around."

Something else Baggs speaks highly of is the Tiger staff.

"The Tiger coaching staff is really good. They impress me a lot and that's why I would say that the Tigers are at the top of my list right now."

Donnie gave me a top three of Missouri, Tennessee and Baylor. Besides Missouri and Baylor, he also has offers from Arizona,Rice and Houston.

Could a commitment be possible on Baggs visit?

" I have thought about it. I will wait and see how everything is, but if I and my family felt strongly enough about it and liked everything I guess it could be possible. It's hard to say until my visit."
