Clemson remains an official destination

Despite Oliver Purnell's departure for the DePaul job, Clemson will still get an official visit from this former 2010 Louisville commit.

Lee High School (Huntsville, Ala.) 2010 small forward Josh Langford set his visit weeks before Purnell left and was surprised to learn that Purnell bolted.

He's still planning to visit Clemson, starting April 16.

"I still have interest," Langford said.

"My coach, coach (Greg) Brown talked to Clemson."

This weekend, he's heading to Memphis this weekend for an official visit before heading to Clemson. He's yet to take any of his officials. Mississippi is still in consideration, though he doesn't know if he'll make any other visits.

Langford has a few things he's looking for on each trip.

"Somewhere that I can be comfortable and get along with the guys and really that's it," he said.

Though the spring signing period starts in less than a week, he's yet to decide how soon before May 19 he'll make a decision.

Scout.com rates Langford as a three-star, No. 32 ranked small forward. He averaged 25 points and 13 points a game for Lee this season.

In this recent interview with Scout.com, Langford said he was taking official visits to Clemson and Mississippi.
