Malcom Crockett - Profile

The speedy running back enjoyed his visit to Georgia Tech. "I liked the way the coaches embraced me and showed me love," said Crockett. "They talked straight to me and showed me where I'd be in the triple option." Crockett enjoyed the spring game in spite of the rain and thought the team looked good.

In addition to watching the spring game, Crockett also had a chance to talk to the coaches including his recruiting coach Lamar Owens. Malcolm also got to experience some other things about Georgia Tech. "I got to see the dorms, the facilities, the weight room and the city," said Crockett. "It was really lively and I liked that."

Prior to his trip to Georgia Tech, Crockett had already taken a similar trip to Maryland and has another one planned to West Virginia. Crockett will also be attending a Nike Combine at Penn State. He currently has four offers. "I have offers from Georgia Tech, Michigan, North Carolina State, and West Virginia."

When it comes time for Malcolm to choose a school he'll be looking at how he fits into the system and where he'll be on the depth chart. "Of course, the education is also a big issue." Geography may also play a role. While he feels that football is football no matter what part of the country he'd be playing, but he does have one consideration. "I do want to get away from home."

Crockett is looking to probably make that decision at the end of his senior year. He will have help in making that decision. "My coach and my family; my godfather, my mom, my grandma and my aunt will help."

The speedy running back has a 3.0 GPA. His teammates are very aware of his speed and have given him the name of "Crockett the Rocket"
