Lomax Talks About Decision

Scout.com contacted 2011 prospect Jordan Lomax from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD. The talented WR/DB gave his verbal commitment to Virginia. He talks about what factors were behind the decision.

Jordan Lomax took his trip to Virginia and then a little over a week later decided Virginia was the place for him. He doesn't have plans for any other visits although that could change. For now, being a Cavalier is what Lomax is looking forward to next year.

"I felt a great vibe with Virginia," said Lomax. "I could tell they were all men of God and cared about me as a person. They want me to excel off the field as well as on it. They are a top school for academics and my family loves the school too."

Lomax chose Virginia over offers from Louisville, Pittsburgh, New Mexico and Maryland. I asked about other visits and for which position Virginia sees him playing for them.

"I am not positive at the moment if I will be visiting any other schools. I am happy with my decision though. I will be playing down there as a cornerback."
