Ben Kline is a multifaceted big athlete that is capable of playing several positions on the next level, something he's familiar with as a do-it-all player for his Dallastown team.
"I had 118 tackles on defense," said Kline after the Nike Camp on
Sunday. "I also had 26 catches for about 400 yards."
Sizing up his 6-2/220 pound frame, I asked a question I thought I knew the
answer to already, "at tight end?".
"Actually, I lined up mostly at slot receiver," answered Kline.
"I played a little bit of tight end and h-back, but mostly receiver."
Kline has the size and range to play inside or outside at linebacker on the
college level, but he doesn't particularly have a preference.
"I have offers from West Virginia, UConn, Rutgers, Navy, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Michigan, Temple, and Vanderbilt right now. Some of the schools are
recruiting me at linebacker, some at tight end, some at h-back, fullback. I
really don't have a preference right now on position."
Asked what might play into his decision to choose a school, Kline was interested
"I'll probably narrow it down sometime this summer. I want to look at who
is going to develop me into the best player I can be during my career."
