NC State landed its second commitment for the class of 2011 on Monday when Gainesville (GA) DT Thomas Niles committed to NC State. Pack Pride talked with the rising senior about his decision.
"I committed to North Carolina State today," said Niles. "It's just in my heart. That's where I wanted to go. I like the area and everything about it."
Niles checks in at 6-2, 255 pounds and recorded 85 tackles and six sacks as a junior. He is currently rated a three star prospect and the No. 67 defensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com.
In addition to NC State, Niles boasted an offer from Tennessee and had attracted interest from Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Central Florida, Alabama, Kentucky and Michigan State among others.
