With the spring evaluation period now well under way, college coaches have begun to send out scholarship offers to recruits around the country. Lewisville (Texas) Hebron High safety David Jenkins
got the ball rolling in his recruitment on Wednesday when he received his first two scholarship offers.
"Boise State and Colorado State both offered me on Wednesday. I'm really excited that they offered," said Jenkins.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back was happy to get some offers under his belt and had good things to say about both programs.
Boise State- "Boise (State) is a great school. They have a great program and it's steadily increasing and they have great coaches that know what it takes to be the best.
Colorado State- "I don't really know much about them but I've heard that they are a college town and that the people there are real supportive to the football program."
Jenkins has also been hearing from Syracuse, Iowa, Texas, LSU, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Alabama, ECU and Ole Miss.
Despite just having landed two scholarship offers, Jenkins claims that there is no leader for his services.
"I'm completely wide open right now, I haven't narrowed it at all."
Jenkins currently has a 3.2 GPA and is on track to qualify academically.
