Durden plans to attend Louisville's camp

Valdosta (GA) Lowndes cornerback Kenneth Durden has the size and explosiveness to be one of the top defensive backs in the southeast. Durden recently picked up some new offers and plans to camp at Louisville this month.

Kenneth Durden, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback from Valdosta, Ga., is receiving serious interest from Louisville. In fact, the Cardinals have been talking about an offer in recent weeks.

"The coaches said they were going to send it," Durden said about a possible Louisville offer. "I've been talking to Coach [Ron] Dugans. He was telling me that I could play early there because they need some corners. He said they really liked me on film."

Durden recently received offers from South Florida, UCF and Memphis and told Scout.com that he favors the two schools from Florida because they're close to home and would allow his family to see him play in college. What does he think about Louisville?

"I don't know much about them at this point," Durden said. "I'm still pretty excited about the offer."

Durden, who won the Georgia 5A state title in the triple jump this spring, also hold a track offer from Morehouse. One of the top defensive backs in the southeast, Durden had three interceptions as a junior. He plans to attend camps at Louisville and South Florida this summer.

"I'm looking for a winning team with a good coaching staff that I can have a great relationship with," said Durden.
