QB Looking To Open Irish Eyes

Joel Stave has been impressive at the Elite-11 and the few camps he's attended. One of his next camps will be in South Bend where the 6-foot-4 signal caller will look to open a few more eyes.

Greenfield (WI) Whitnall quarterback Joel Stave has hit the road looking to pick up his first Division One offer. With camps at Cincinnati, Indiana, Western Michigan and Central Michigan mapped out; the 6-foot-4 Stave will also look to open a few eyes in South Bend.

"I'm just trying to be patient and do the best I can do," Stave said on Monday. "Everywhere I go I'm hearing good things so we'll see what happens."

When talking with Stave and his mother you soon learn they are enjoying the experience but also wondering if they got a late start. The trip to Notre Dame is a two folded experience according to mom.

"I asked him if he could pick any school what school would it be and he said Notre Dame. So we're going to make that trip see what happens and enjoy the experience."

While he's a realist about his abilities, having seen him in a couple of different camp settings he's shown he's got DI abilities and just needs to find the right fit.
